An Ordinance Amending Ordinance 1837 Adjusting The Wages And
Allowances For Board and Commission Members
The Common Council of the City of Oak Creek ordains as follows:
Section 1: There is herewith established the uniform rates of pay of those certain offices and positions in the City services under the control of the Common Council of the City of Oak Creek affecting non-union, management and miscellaneous personnel. The proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to make the required payments to those affected employees of the City pursuant to this ordinance.
Section 2: Members of the different boards and commissions shall be compensated according to the schedule listed below:
On a monthly basis, Utility Commission Chair: $150/month; Member: $125/month.
Section 3: No employee or ex-officio member of a board, commission or committee shall be compensated unless they are acting in the capacity of a citizen member and not as part of their normal duties.
Section 4: If any section, subsection, sentence clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof. The Common Council of the City of Oak Creek declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each section, subsection, clause, phrase or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or portions thereof, may be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are repealed.
Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its passage and publication and shall apply as of the 1st day of October, 2006.
