Recommendation: That the Council grant the request of the Oak Creek-Franklin School District to waive a filing fee for Plan Commission review of plans for a ticket booth box at the high school football field and for the building permit fee that would be charged.
Background: The Knights Community Stadium Committee has sent a letter requesting that the filing fee of $350 normally charged for the review of plans by the Plan Commission be waived. The plans to be presented to the Plan Commission are for a new ticket booth at the football field. This project is being sponsored and paid for by the Knights Community Stadium Committee, a non-profit organization, and will not require the expenditure of any public funds. While the letter doesn’t address it, the Council should also waive the Building Permit fee estimated at $50, which would be charged to construct the building. This project is being sponsored by a non-profit organization that conducts fund raisers to raise money for worthwhile projects, so their funds should be allowed to be spent on the project and not on these two small City fees.
Fiscal Impact: If waived, the fees of $350 and $50 would be lost to the City as revenue.
