Recommendation: That the Common Council consider a motion to award the 6” Storm Sewer project along E. Kendale Drive, E. Susan Drive, and S. Verdev Drive to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Willkomm Excavating, at a cost of $43,599.50 (Project No. 03010).
Background: The Engineering Department prepared the plans and specifications for the project and the work was advertised. This work is proposed to prevent the residents’ sump pump lines from discharging onto the City streets and creating an icing problem in the winter. This project is scaled down from the original project after a survey of the residents to determine the problem areas. Seven bidders submitted the following:
