COUNCIL PROCLAMATION NO. 06-11

“THE FINAL SALUTE”

IN HONOR AND TRIBUTE TO THE 440TH AIRLIFT WING

AIR FORCE RESERVE

WHEREAS, the Annual Dinner Dance sponsored by the 440th Tactical Airlift Wing Air Force Reserve Command is being held Thursday, May 18, 2006, during Armed Forces Week; and

WHEREAS, this year’s event is particularly noteworthy in that the 440^th Airlift Wing Air Force Reserve is observing their “Final Salute”; and

WHEREAS, the City of Oak Creek wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to the 440^th Airlift Wing Air Force Reserve and the people serving our country as members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and all associated Reserve Units and their long-time service to our communities.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek do hereby proclaim that the best wishes and heartfelt thanks of the City and its residents be extended to the Armed Forces represented at the Armed Forces Week Annual Dinner Dance and to the 440^th Airlift Wing Air Force Reserve as they observe their “Final Salute”.
