Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission to:

a.                  Adopt Ordinance No. 2413, repealing Ordinance No. 387, an ordinance prohibiting parking on either side of certain streets in the Northbranch Industrial Park (adopted 9/2/69); and

b.                  Authorize the installation of “No Parking from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays” signs from 7616-7815 S. 6th Street along both sides of the road.

 

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on May 10, 2006.  This issue was brought before the Commission to allow the Little League to park overflow vehicles along S. 6th Street.  It is the opinion of the City Attorney that we should repeal Ordinance No. 387, which prohibits parking on City streets in the Northbranch Industrial Park.  The parking restriction would then fall under Municipal Code Section 10.41 Paragraph 10.  

 

 

Fiscal Impact:  If approved, there are sufficient funds available in the Street Department operating budget to accommodate this installation.

AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 387,

PROHIBITING  PARKING ON EITHER SIDE OF CERTAIN STREETS

IN THE NORTHBRANCH INDUSTRIAL PARK

 

The Common Council of the City of Oak Creek does hereby ordain as follows:

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 387, Prohibiting parking on either side of certain streets in the Northbranch Industrial Park, is hereby repealed.

 

SECTION 2:    All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are herby repealed.

 

SECTION 3:    This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
