Recommendation:  That the Common Council concur with the recommendation of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry and approve the purchase of a Toro Infield Groomer from Reinders, Inc. in the amount of $14,880

Background:  The new infield groomer replaces an existing groomer. The groomer is used for ball diamond infield grooming, sand volleyball court grooming and small landscaping (finishing work).  Request for bids were sent to three vendors.  The equipment was advertised and one bid was received.

On June 15, 2006, bids were opened in the office of the City Clerk.  Reinders, Incorporated is a qualified bidder and meets all of the specifications.
