Recommendation:  That the Common Council adopt Ordinance No. 2402, revising the auto expense allowances for the Mayor and Common Council.

Background:  This issue was discussed by the council during the 2006 budget process in light of escalating fuel costs.  Car allowances for the Mayor and Council have not changed since April 1995.

Fiscal Impact:  The increase is $50 per month for the Mayor and Common Council.
