Recommendation: That the Common Council approve and adopt Ordinance No. 2404, amending Salary Ordinance No. 2389, Section 2 relating to the position of Emergency Services Dispatch Supervisor and the Acting Administrative Support Bureau Manager.
Background: Effective May 9, 2006, Dispatch Supervisor Rebecca Leigh successfully completed her one-year probationary period. At this time, the Police Department is requesting that Salary Ordinance No. 2398, Section 2 be adjusted to reflect a 3.25% wage increase for this position to coincide with the salary increases given to all non-union and management personnel. This would increase the base wage from $51,605 annually to $53,282.
In addition, as approved at the April 3, 2006, Common Council meeting, Supervisor Leigh was appointed to the position of Acting Administrative Support Bureau Manager, with an approved base wage equal to 10% above that of the Dispatch Supervisor position. Therefore, the Department is also requesting that the Acting Administrative Support Bureau Manager base wage be increased from $56,763 annually to $58,610, which reflects the 10% adjustment.
Note: This request is contingent upon the prior approval of the Personnel Committee, whose meeting will precede the Common Council meeting.
Fiscal Impact: The wages and benefits for this position are included in the Police Department’s 2006 budget for full-time salaries.

The Common Council of the City of Oak Creek does herby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 2398, Section 2, is hereby amended to establish a salary as of 5/9/06 for the position of ES Dispatch Supervisor and Acting Admin. Support Bureau Manager as follows:
