Recommendation:  That the Common Council concur with the recommendation of the Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry and approve the purchase of one 2007 Chevrolet Silverado (Model 2500) heavy duty pick up truck from Ewald Automotive in the amount of $18,237.00

Background:  During the 2006 budget process, the Council received justification and authorized replacement of our 1984 GMC Suburban.  The cost for the 2007 pick up truck is based on the state bid which was awarded to Ewald Automotive.

Additional equipment such as a bed liner, utility box, roof light and plow will be purchased and installed separately (+/- $4,000) once the vehicle is delivered.

Fiscal Impact:  Funds in the amount of $30,000 have been included in the approved 2006 Capital Equipment Budget for this purchase.
