Recommendation:  To deny invitation to join the Wisconsin Utility Tax Association

Background:  By way of a February 22, 2006 letter, the Wisconsin Utility Tax Association (WUTA) is inviting the city of Oak Creek to become a member of their Association.  The WUTA is a lobbying group who monitors and lobbies on behalf of state legislation favorable to communities hosting utility production facilities.  It is the opinion of the Mayor, city attorney and administrator that this task is satisfactorily filled by our selected consultant.

Fiscal Impact:  No fiscal impact if denied.  $2,000 per year if Oak Creek joins WUTA.
