City of Oak Creek
Common Council Report
Meeting Date: March 21, 2006
Item No.:
Recommendation: That the Council adopt Resolution No. 10615-032106, approving the South 27th Street Urban Village Implementation Plan and Impact Analysis.
Background: The consulting firm of HNTB, at the direction of the Common Council, and with the assistance of the 27th Street Steering Committee is presenting to the Council the S. 27th Street Urban Village Impact Analysis and Implementation Plan.
The Urban Village Implementation plan contains a series of recommendations and action steps that the City should work to complete to achieve the City’s vision for the Urban Village based on the vision adopted in the 27th Street Corridor and Subarea plans.
The Impact Analysis outlines the estimated revenues, expenditures, and economic benefits that the City of Oak Creek and other jurisdictions may experience as a result of the development of the Urban Village.
The Council was briefed on the plan at their meeting of December 20, 2005. The Community Development Authority has recommended approval of the plan. The Plan Commission has reviewed the plan, and has forwarded it on to the Council without recommendation.
Fiscal Impact: Development realized through implementation of plan would result in a net annual benefit of $1.25 million to the City.[1]
