Recommendation:  That the Common Council approve the recommendation of the Street Superintendent to purchase one (1) 2007 refuse collection, automated side loader from Truck Country of Wisconsin in the amount of $165,015.00.

Background:  The Street Department sent out bids to local truck dealers and received four (4) bids.

All truck dealers’ bids included an automated side loader with cool hand arm with Joystick controls to match our existing trucks. 

Fiscal Impact:  An amount of $163,000.00 was approved for this purchase in the 2006 budget.  The amount of the cost overrun ($2,015.00) could be absorbed by dollars available in the 2006 CIP - other Street Department equipment funding.
