Recommendation:  That the Common Council approve the Police Department’s purchase of one (1) marked police vehicle from Ewald Automotive at a cost of $32,445, utilizing funds from WE-Energies Mitigation funds.

Background:  This request is based on the impact of the WE Energies project. Monies were appropriated for the purchase of an additional squad for the Police Department.

The Department will be purchasing a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD at a cost of $32,445 from Ewald Automotive. The price includes a $6,390 State of Wisconsin Municipal Discount.

Fiscal Impact:  The total cost of the vehicle is $32,445. Monies are available in the WE Energies Mitigation Fund #19 under Police Vehicles Account #956.00.
