Recommendation:  That the Council adopt Ordinance No.  2440, An Ordinance Fixing the Salary Ranges, Salary, Wages and Allowances for Elected City Offices and Positions for the 2007-2008 term.

 

Background:  The elected Clerk and Treasurer received their last pay adjustment in November, 2004, effective 05/01/2005.  The adjustment included a 2.9% adjustment for 2004 and 2.9% for 2005.  The Municipal Judge did not receive an adjustment in 2004 for the 2005-2006 time period because she was newly-appointed. There has been no adjustment offered for 2006 for these positions.

 

The recommended adjustment is the same amount given to the represented labor groups, reflecting 3.25% for 2006 and 3.25% for 2007. 

 

Fiscal Impact:  The total fiscal impact for the 2007 budget for these adjustments is $5,717.00, which has been budgeted for within the departments’ salary accounts.
