Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and authorize the installation of “15-Minute Loading Zone 2 AM – 6 AM” sign in front of 7265 S. 1^st Street.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on September 13, 2006.  The Journal Sentinel representative stated that the overflow parking only occurs when distribution trucks are late due to a late-breaking story and the printing is delayed.  He also stated that this doesn’t happen very often, but does occur and the distribution drivers are not parked there for an extended period of time.

Fiscal Impact:  There are sufficient funds in the operating budget of the Street Department for the installation of the signs.
