City of Oak Creek
Common Council Report
Meeting Date: October 17, 2006
Item No.:
Recommendation: To approve in concept the functional plan that would expand STH 38 to a four-lane divided highway from Oakwood Road to the southern city limits.
Background: The functional plans are for the expansion of STH 38 south of Oakwood Road from a two-lane rural highway to a four-lane divided highway. The proposed location of the roadway would be to the west with the proposed northbound lanes in the location of the existing roadway. New right-of-way would have to be established and purchased, however, the exact limits are not known at this time. The northbound and southbound lanes would be separated by a 30-foot wide raised median island. Curb and gutter would also be used within the city limits.
Fiscal Impact: None
