RESOLUTION NO. 10593-011706
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
William M. Bauer
WHEREAS, William M. Bauer began his employment with the City of Oak Creek on September 26, 1977, as a full-time Police Officer; and
WHEREAS, William M. Bauer has been a valuable employee during his years of dedicated service with the Oak Creek Police Department, always striving to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, during his twenty-eight and one-quarter years of service, William M. Bauer was an integral part of the patrol operations of the Oak Creek Police Department and well known for his detailed work product; and
WHEREAS, William M. Bauer became a Motorcycle Officer and was responsible for training other officers in Motorcycle safety, and was also trained to maintain the Department’s motorcycles; and
WHEREAS, William M. Bauer became a certified radar instructor, training and certifying new officers in its operation, and maintaining the radar units for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, during William M. Bauer’s career with the Oak Creek Police Department, he responded to many serious incidents, handling them in a diligent and professional manner; and
WHEREAS, William M. Bauer has retired from his position of Police Officer with the Oak Creek Police Department, effective December 31, 2005, after completing 28 years and 3 months of full-time service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek, for and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Oak Creek, that sincere gratitude and appreciation be extended to William M. Bauer for his years of dedicated and faithful service to the City of Oak Creek and the Police Department, that the best wishes for good health and happiness be extended to William M. Bauer and his family for future years.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and that the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a suitable copy thereof to William M. Bauer.
Passed and adopted this 17th day of January, 2006.
