TO

PHILLIP W. SODEMANN

WHEREAS, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN has retired from his position as a Fire Fighter Paramedic effective December 30, 2005, after 26 years and 11 months of dedicated full time service to the City of Oak Creek Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN was appointed auxiliary Fire Fighter for the City of Oak Creek in November of 1977, and as a career Fire Fighter on January 22, 1979; and

WHEREAS, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN has been one of the senior Emergency Medical Technicians in the State of Wisconsin and during his career has cared for thousands of citizens who were sick or injured, always delivering caring and skilled emergency care to them; and

WHEREAS, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN became a Fire Fighter Paramedic in October, 2000; and

WHEREAS, during his years of service, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN has performed his duties admirably, always looking out for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Oak Creek; and

WHEREAS, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN responded to major and minor alarms too numerous to mention using his skills in fire fighting and rescue admirably, without hesitation; and

WHEREAS, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN frequently conducted tours and participated in fire prevention activities for the children of Oak Creek during his career; and

WHEREAS, PHILLIP W. SODEMANN was the lead person in the department’s nozzles and ropes program, and exercised great care and diligence in maintaining this vital life safety equipment to ensure the safety of the City’s Fire Fighters.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek for and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Oak Creek, that sincere gratitude and appreciation be extended to Phillip W. Sodemann for his many years of dedicated and faithful service to the City of Oak Creek and the Fire Department, that the best wishes for good health and happiness be extended to Phillip W. Sodemann and his family on his retirement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and that the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a suitable copy thereof to Phillip W. Sodemann.
