TO

GUY G. KOVALES

WHEREAS, GUY G. KOVALES has retired from his position as a Fire Fighter effective December 31st, 2005, after 19 years and 8 months of dedicated full time service to the City of Oak Creek Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, GUY G. KOVALES was appointed as a paid on call Fire Fighter on April 19^th, 1983 and promoted to full time Fire Fighter on April 21^st 1986; and

WHEREAS, GUY G. KOVALES has been an Emergency Medical Technicians in the State of Wisconsin and during his career has cared for thousands of citizens who were sick or injured, always delivering caring and skilled emergency care to them; and

WHEREAS, GUY G. KOVALES demonstrated his devotion to the citizens of Oak Creek by regularly responding to alarms from off duty regardless of the day or hour; and

WHEREAS, during his years of service, GUY G. KOVALES has performed his duties admirably, always looking out for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Oak Creek; and

WHEREAS, GUY G. KOVALES responded to major and minor alarms too numerous to mention using his skills in fire fighting and rescue admirably, without hesitation; and

WHEREAS, GUY G. KOVALES was known for his friendship, loyalty and brotherhood to the Fire Fighters of Oak Creek and surrounding communities; and

WHEREAS, GUY G. KOVALES was one of the lead members in the department’s Self Contained Breathing Apparatus program, and exercised great care and diligence in maintaining this vital life safety equipment to ensure the safety of the City’s Fire Fighters.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek for and on behalf of the citizens of the City of Oak Creek, that sincere gratitude and appreciation be extended to Guy G. Kovales for his many years of dedicated and faithful service to the City of Oak Creek and the Fire Department, that the best wishes for good health and happiness be extended to Guy G. Kovales and his family on his retirement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and that the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a suitable copy thereof to Guy G. Kovales.
