NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

BEFORE THE OAK CREEK COMMON COUNCIL

PURPOSE:     The purpose of this public hearing is to consider a proposal by the City of Oak Creek to amend Section 17.0501 of the Municipal Code regarding the location of accessory uses and structures.

Hearing Date:                                    Tuesday, August 16, 2005

Time:                                      7:00 p.m.

Place:                                     Oak Creek City Hall

                                                8640 South Howell Avenue

                                                Oak Creek, WI  53154

                                                Common Council Chambers

Proposal:  This proposed language would amend Section 17.0501 to read as follows:

“Accessory uses and structures are those that are usually and customarily incidental to the principal use that is located on the same property, or on an adjacent parcel under the same ownership, as the accessory use or structure.”

The Common Council has scheduled other public hearings for August 16, 2005 at 7:00 PM.  This hearing may begin at 7:00 PM or as soon as possible following the conclusion of other public hearings.
