Recommendation:  That the Common Council authorize the hiring of a replacement Public Health Nurse (PNH) position totaling 750 hours per year.

Background:  Jeffrey Langlieb, PHN, has worked for the City of Oak Creek on a part-time basis for the past six months. His assigned duties included servicing East Middle School, immunization clinics, home visits, developmental fairs, prevention grant statistician, contagion control, and emergency government activities.

We no longer have applications on file so we would need to advertise the position. We hope to have someone hired and oriented by September.

The Personnel Committee has approved this request at their meeting on July 27^th.

Fiscal Impact:  The salary range for a PHN is $17.75-$23.75 per hour; the starting wage would be towards the lower end of the range. The position would be a minimum of 600 hours and would include pension benefits.
