Recommendation:  That the Common Council acknowledge and file Resolution No. 10534-080105 which amends Resolution No. 10452-122104, relating to the 2005 calendar year salary for the Library Services Assistant.

Background:  Each year the Library Board sets the salaries for employees of the Public Library.  Resolution No. 10452-122104, setting the 2005 salaries, was acknowledged and filed at the 12/21/04 Council meeting.  The Library Services Assistant is eligible for an 18-month step increase, effective 7/12/05.  That step increase was inadvertently omitted from their annual salary resolution and this resolution acknowledges this step increase.

Fiscal Impact:  The Library Board has 2005 funds budgeted for this step increase.
