BackgroundOn July 7, 2005, ten (10) bid proposals were opened in the office of the City Clerk.  A maximum price limitation for play structures, equipment, swing structures, benches, borders and wood fiber surfacing, delivered and installed, was set at $42,000 for each proposal.

Bids were evaluated on play value, quality of equipment and design.  Gerber Leisure Products is the qualified bidder—meeting all of the specifications that provided the best combination of quality of materials, safety, accessibility, design and number of play components, while staying within the stated price limitations
