City of Oak Creek
Common Council Report
Meeting Date:
Item No.: 13
Recommendation: That the Common Council concur with the recommendation of the Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry and approve the bid of $90,000 from American Ramp Company for the purchase and installation of skate park equipment for the Oak Park/East Middle School site.
Background: On May 25, 2005, six (6) bids were opened in the office of the City Clerk. A maximum price limitation for skate park equipment, delivery and installation was set at $90,000.
Bid evaluation included overall systems and component design, safety, experience and knowledge of manufacturer, warranty, durability and ease of maintenance. American Ramp Company is the qualified bidder—meeting all of the specifications that provided the best combination of design and number of skate components, while staying within the stated price limitations. Therefore, I recommend that the Council approve American Ramp Company’s bid of $90,000
