Recommendation:  That the Common Council approve the recommendation of the Street Superintendent and accept the written quote from Wilkinson Capstran, Incorporated in the amount of $15,685.00 for a vehicle hoist.

Background:  At the Capital Improvement meeting of March 29, 2005, the Committee voted in favor to purchase this vehicle hoist for the Street Department.

This hoist would allow the maintenance of Fire Department and Street Department vehicles in a safe manner.  The current hoist would be relocated to the Parks and Recreation maintenance building in order for them to safety work on their vehicles.

The Mayor supports this purchase and suggested that this would be a more productive method to perform maintenance duties on our vehicles.

Fiscal Impact:   Funds remaining in the 2003 Capital Equipment Account will be used for this purchase.
