Recommendation: That the Common Council approve the Police Department’s hiring of a Police Officer to fill a vacant position.

 

 

Background:  On April 18, 2005, one of the two probationary Police Officers who are currently in the Field Training Program resigned. We are requesting that this position be refilled as soon as possible. This request is contingent upon the prior approval of the Personnel Committee.

 

 

Fiscal Impact: Wages and benefits for this position are included in the Police Department’s 2005 budget for full-time salaries.
