Recommendation: That the Common Council award the 2005 street tree purchase (Project No. 05002) to McKay Nursery in the amount of $4,023 and, Johnson’s Nursery in the amount of $46,915, for a total of $50,938.

Background: The 2005 tree purchase (spring and fall combined), of 430 trees – both new and replacement – was advertised and 5 (five) bids were received. No one nursery has all tree stock requested. However, between the qualifying nurseries, all stock is available.

Bid award recommendation is based on specifications, bid price and in-field inspections prior to bid award. Bid Proposal Worksheets attached.
