Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and deny the installation of stop signs on E. Puetz Road at the intersection of S. Shepard Avenue.  This would make the intersection a 4-way stop.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on October 12, 2005.  The intersection does meet the warrants for a multi-way stop as set by the Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).   The Commission feels that the traffic congestion that would be caused by the multi-stop would create more of a traffic problem than what presently exists.
