Recommendation:  That the Common Council adopts Resolution No. 10554-101805, accepting sanitary sewer easements for Project No. 05105, Drexel Avenue Sanitary Sewer (3rd Aldermanic District).

 

Background:  The easements are necessary for the installation of public sanitary sewer.  The alignment chosen continues the alignment of the existing sewer.  This project was a resident petition project.

 

The adjacent properties will be special assessed for the benefit to their properties.  The Water and Sewer Utility funds the project and will recover the special assessments.

 

Fiscal Impact:  The total cost of acquiring these easements is $4,865.00 and will be funded by the Water and Sewer Utility.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS

 

PROJECT NO. 05105

 

(3RD ALDERMANIC DISTRICT)

 

WHEREAS, the City of Oak Creek desires to install a public sanitary sewer in easements along Drexel Avenue from 200 feet west of Long Meadow Drive to 1400 feet west of Long Meadow Drive; and

 

WHEREAS, to enable the City to construct and maintain said sanitary sewer, it will be necessary that sanitary sewer easements be obtained from the affected property owners; and

 

WHEREAS, the sanitary sewer easements have been prepared affecting the following property owners, to wit:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek that the attached sanitary sewer easements are hereby approved and accepted.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached easements on behalf of the Common Council of the City of Oak Creek and upon said execution, the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to record the easement documents in the Office of the Register of Deeds in and for Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
