Recommendation:  That the Common  Council approve Resolution No. 10551-100405 which would allow the City of Oak Creek Street Department to enter into a mutual aid agreement with twenty-one (21) communities for the purpose of sharing vehicles and/or equipment during a disaster.

Background:  I have attended several meetings this past year with the Milwaukee Area Public Works Officials Association (M.A.P.W.O.A.) to discuss the possibility of twenty-one (21) communities joining forces so that equipment and vehicles could be shared should a disaster of any kind occur.  Each community involved would provide a list of vehicles and equipment in their fleet that would be made available.

Attached is a copy of the agreement which defines the terms of this mutual aid with other communities.
