NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

BEFORE THE OAK CREEK COMMON COUNCIL

PURPOSE:     The purpose of this public hearing is to consider a proposal by the City of Oak Creek to amend Sections 17.0305, 17.0306, 17.0307, 17.0308 and 17.0310 of the Municipal Code regarding the side setback for side entry garages.

Hearing Date:                                    Tuesday, October 4, 2005

Time:                                      7:00 p.m.

Place:                                     Oak Creek City Hall

                                                8640 South Howell Avenue

                                                Oak Creek, WI  53154

                                                Common Council Chambers

Proposal:  This proposed language would change how side setbacks to side entry garages are measured. 

Currently the measurement is taken from a line that is perpendicular to the lot line.  The new ordinance would measure this setback from a line perpendicular to the garage door opening that is closest to the side lot line.

The Common Council has scheduled other public hearings for October 4, 2005 at 7:00 PM.  This hearing may begin at 7:00 PM or as soon as possible following the conclusion of other public hearings.
