Recommendation: That the Common Council approve the Police Department’s hiring an Emergency Services Dispatcher to fill a vacant position.

 

 

Background:  On January 8, 2005, an Emergency Services Dispatcher resigned due to family commitments. It is very important that this critical position be replaced as quickly as possible as the vacancy severely impacts the already short-staffed Dispatch Center.  This item was reviewed and recommended by the Personnel Committee at their meeting on Tuesday, 1/11/05.

 

Fiscal Impact: Wages and benefits for this position are included in the Police Department’s 2005 budget for full-time salaries.
