Recommendation:

That the Common Council adopt Ordinance No. 2320, An Ordinance Fixing the Salary,

Benefits and Allowances for the City Administrator.

Background:

At a meeting on June 24, 2004, the Council appointed Barbara S. Blumenfield as the City Administrator, effective 07/26/04, in accordance with the terms of an employment agreement.  Part of that agreement established her starting salary at $79,950 per year and her car allowance at $200.00 per month.  It is appropriate to adopt an ordinance to reflect those terms.

Fiscal Impact: 

Funds for this position are provided in the 2004 Budget, Acct. 42- Administrator Full-time Salaries and related personnel costs.
