COUNCIL PROCLAMATION NO. 04-20

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE

OAK CREEK KNIGHTS GIRLS’ SOFTBALL TEAM 2004

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek Knights Girls’ Softball Team finished the 2004 season with a record of 18-3-1, becoming Conference Champions, Regional Champions, and Sectional Champions; and

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek Knights Girls’ Softball Team qualified for the State Tournament for the 5^th straight year; and

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek Knights Girls’ Softball Team supported each other both on and off the field; and

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek Knights Girls’ Softball Team was well coached by Greg Lampe, who retired after 15 years of coaching softball at Oak Creek High School, with an overall record of 280-48-2; and

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek Knights Girls’ Softball Team served as ambassadors for their school and their community through their fine demonstration of attitude, sportsmanship and athletic ability.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek, for and on behalf of its citizens, do hereby wish to extend their congratulations to the Oak Creek Knights Girls’ Softball Team for their impressive accomplishments during the 2004 softball season.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she is hereby directed to provide a suitable copy of this proclamation to the Oak Creek Knights Girls’ Softball Team 2004.
