Recommendation:  That the Common Council authorize hiring a replacement for a permanent part-time Park Laborer position.

Background: In accordance with Resolution 10287-100703, vacant positions must have Council approval before being filled.  The Director of Parks, Recreation & Forestry is requesting that the Council authorize hiring a replacement for a permanent part-time Park Laborer position. (See attached memo from the Director)

This request was reviewed by the Personnel Committee at their 6/29/04 meeting, and the Committee recommended approval.

Fiscal Impact:  Funds have been budgeted in the 2004 Parks, Recreation & Forestry PT Salaries account 90-105.
