Recommendation:  That the Common Council adopt Ordinance No. 2309 to repeal and recreate sections 8.40(j), (n) and (o)(3), Section 8.41, Section 8.42(a), (c) and (f), Section 8.44 a and Section 8.45 and to create Section 8.42(k) and Section 8.48 relating to garbage and refuse collection.

Background:  As the City of Oak Creek moves forward with the refuse collection cart system, it was necessary to change the refuse collection ordinance to reflect the following:

1.) Usage of carts versus garbage cans and/or garbage bags for pick up. 

2.) Parking within fifteen feet (15’) of a garbage receptacle.

3.) New branch collection months and corrections on existing language.

4.) Additional cart requests.

5.) The fee for the collection and disposal of freon appliances at the curb and/or drop off site.

Fiscal Impact:  None at this time.
