RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OAK CREEK

ESTABLISHING THE CITY’S POLICY ON HARASSMENT AND DISCRIMINATION IN THE WORKPLACE

WHEREAS, the purpose of having a policy on Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace is to ensure that department heads and employees understand their rights and responsibilities while conducting themselves in regard to City business, and;

WHEREAS, City management staff and employees will now have an updated written policy and procedure to follow in the event of a conflict; and;

WHEREAS, the proposed guideline complies with the state law.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council supports the adoption of Resolution 10381-060104, establishing the City’s Policy on Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace.

A copy of the policy is attached hereto.
