CONGRATULATIONS TO
REVEREND JERRY BROOKS
WHEREAS, Reverend Jerry Brooks is celebrating 25 years of continuous service to the Oak Creek Assembly of God Church; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Jerry Brooks is most deserving of recognition because of his contributions to this community, his congregation, its youth and its children; and
WHEREAS, Oak Creek Assembly of God had a weekly attendance of 125 upon the arrival of Reverend Jerry Brooks in 1979; and
WHEREAS, the weekly attendance has grown to 2,000 under Reverend Jerry Brooks’ leadership and guidance; and
WHEREAS, through Reverend Jerry Brooks’ vision for the future, the Oak Creek Assembly of God has gone through four building projects, with an existing sanctuary seating capacity of 2,500; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Jerry Brooks has served the Wisconsin Northern Michigan District of the Assemblies of God for ten years as a Presbyter overseeing 25 churches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek hereby congratulate Reverend Jerry Brooks upon 25 years of dedicated service to Oak Creek Assembly of God.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this proclamation be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and that the City Clerk be and she is hereby directed to transmit a suitable copy thereof to Reverend Jerry Brooks.
