COUNCIL PROCLAMATION NO. 04-08
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE OAK CREEK
HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY CHEERLEADERS
WHEREAS, the Oak Creek High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad took top honors in seven of their eleven competitions, including first place in the national-qualifying Wisconsin State Cheer and Dance Championships in Madison, Wisconsin, on February 28, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Oak Creek High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad brought home a first-place trophy from the Canam National Cheerleading Competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during a four-day event in March, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Oak Creek High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad of sixteen students, guided by Coach Heather Otto, spent countless hours as a team dedicated to training, practice, and numerous competitions around the state; and
WHEREAS, all students on the Oak Creek High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad were able to maintain a grade point average of more than 3.5 during their cheerleading season.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek that congratulations be extended to the Oak Creek High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad for their tremendous accomplishments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she is hereby directed to transmit a suitable copy of this proclamation to the Oak Creek High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad.
