Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and authorize the installation of a 3-way stop sign for a 6-month study at the intersection of S. Quincy Avenue and E. Monroe Avenue.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on February 11, 2004.  In an attempt to control speeding along S. Quincy Avenue, the Traffic and Safety Commission passed a motion to make this recommendation to the Common Council.

Fiscal Impact:  There are sufficient funds available in the Street Division operating budget to accommodate this recommendation.
