CONGRATULATIONS TO THE

OAK CREEK HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY WRESTLING TEAM

FOR THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS DURING THE 2003-04 WRESTLING SEASON

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team, during its 2003-04 season:

• placed first in conference
• went undefeated through team sectionals, with a final record of 25-1
• qualified a wrestler in each weight class for individual sectionals, sending three wrestlers to state
• achieved three dual-meet tournament titles

and

WHEREAS, this is the Oak Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team’s second consecutive season as a team state qualifier; and

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team demonstrated strong team spirit, supporting each other on and off the mat; and

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team was well coached by the team of Jim Hauerwas, Terry Nachtigall, Bill Kahle and John “Big Dog” Young, all of whom gave time and effort above and beyond; and

WHEREAS, the Oak Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team served as a source of community pride and as ambassadors for their school and the City of Oak Creek.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Oak Creek Common Council do hereby wish to extend their congratulations to the Oak Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team for their achievements during the 2003-04 wrestling season.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she is hereby directed to transmit a suitable copy of this proclamation to the Oak Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team.
