Recommendation:  That the Common Council adopts Resolution No. 10437-120704, accepting water main easements for the Guardian Credit Union project on Howell Avenue (1st Aldermanic District) (Project No. 04052).

 

Background:  These easements are necessary to install a water main in front of the proposed Guardian Credit Union building.  The water main would parallel Howell Avenue and serve the properties.

 

Fiscal Impact:  None.

RESOLUTION NO. 10437-120704

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WATER MAIN EASEMENTS

 

FOR THE GUARDIAN CREDIT UNION PROJECT

 

(1ST ALDERMANIC DISTRICT)

 

(PROJECT NO. 04052)

 

WHEREAS, the City of Oak Creek desires to have installed and maintain a water main in easements from Drexel Avenue north approximately 600 feet; and

 

WHEREAS, to enable the City to construct and maintain said water main, it will be necessary that water main easements be obtained from the affected property owners; and

 

WHEREAS, the water main easements have been prepared affecting the following property owners, to wit:

 

Rodney Dent and Guardian Credit Union, 7841 S. Howell Avenue, Tax Key No. 782-9988

 

and said easement is attached hereto.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek that the attached water main easements are hereby approved and accepted.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached easements on behalf of the Common Council of the City of Oak Creek and upon said execution, the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to record the easement documents in the Office of the Register of Deeds in and for Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
