Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and approve the “No Engine Braking except in Emergency” along S. 13^th Street at the intersection of W. Oakwood Road.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on October 13, 2004.  The request was made because the engine braking is a noise problem for the residential areas along S. 13^th Street and W. Oakwood Road.  A permit has been sent to Milwaukee County to install a sign in their road right-of-way.

Fiscal Impact:  There are sufficient funds available in the Street Division operating budget to accommodate this recommendation.
