Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and authorize the pavement marking along E. Puetz Road to designate the right eastbound lane as a right turn only lane and authorize the installation of appropriate signage.  Included in the request are merging pavement markings after the intersection of S. Shepard Avenue to define the merge lane.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on November 10, 2004.  This request was discussed as a solution to the problem with drivers waiting until the last moment to merge into one lane. 

Fiscal Impact:  There are sufficient funds available in the Street Department operating budget to accommodate this recommendation.
