Recommendation:  To concur with the recommendation of the Traffic and Safety Commission and deny the installation of a “stop ahead” sign on E. Groveland Drive at the intersection of S. Verdev Drive.

Background:  The request was discussed at the Traffic and Safety Commission meeting on September 8, 2004.  This is an unusual location for a stop sign and vehicles run through it.  There are no obstructions within 175 feet of the sign to block the view.  The road was also just resurfaced and getting the crosswalk and stop line repainted at the intersection will help draw attention to the stop sign.
