CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
RALPH A. IGNATOWSKI
MEMORIAL AMVETS POST #60
WHEREAS, “AMVETS” stands for “American Veterans”, with membership open to anyone who has served his or her country in the military and is currently serving, or has served and now has an honorable discharge; and
WHEREAS, the Ralph A. Ignatowski Memorial AMVETS Post #60 is celebrating 50 years of service to veterans and the community with a banquet and awards ceremony at Classic Lanes Oak Creek on Saturday, October 9, 2004; and
WHEREAS, AMVETS Post #60, among their many service-oriented activities in this area, has made donations to the Veterans’ Memorial at the new Oak Creek police station and the newly-constructed Oak Creek Veterans’ Memorial on Rawson Avenue, has donated to the military display case in the Oak Creek High School, presents flags to community members on Flag Day, conducts Bingo for the community at Classic Lanes and Legion Post 434, and participates in a Memorial Day ceremony each year to honor all fallen veterans and deceased members of AMVETS Post #60.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Oak Creek do hereby congratulate the Ralph A. Ignatowski Memorial AMVETS Post #60 on their 50th anniversary and gratefully acknowledge their dedicated service to veterans and the community.
