Recommendation:  That the Council approve Ordinance 2270 approving a one year agreement with the Professional Clerk-Matron Dispatcher Association.

 

Background:  In July 2003 the Personnel Committee and the Management Bargaining Team met with the Clerk-Matron Dispatcher Union for negotiations and an agreement was reached.  The contract will cover the time period January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003.

 

The changes include a wage settlement for 2.9% effective 1/1/03, and the continuation of a 5% employee contribution toward health insurance.

 

The Personnel Committee recommends approval of the agreement.

 

Fiscal Impact:  The 2003 budget includes funds to cover the increase in wages.
