Recommendation: That the Council adopt Resolution No. 10256-070103 that would grant an access easement to Hanna Trailer Inc. for the property at 7625 S. Howell Avenue.
Background: On November 12, 2002 the City of Oak Creek Plan Commission conditionally approved the site and building plans for Hanna Trailer Inc. for the property at 7571 S. Howell Avenue. One of the conditions of that approval was that he enters into a reciprocal access easement with the property to the south to allow for use of the existing driveway opposite the median opening in Howell Avenue (STH 38). This property is owned by the City and is the site of the soon to be vacated police station.
The City has accepted an offer to purchase for this property. The purchaser of the property has reviewed this access easement in accordance with the terms of the accepted offer, and has approved it.
Fiscal Impact: The construction of Hanna Trailer’s new facility, for which this access easement is required, will add to the City’s commercial tax base.
