Recommendation: That the Common Council approve the recommendation of the Street Superintendent to purchase two (2), 2004 IHC 5 ton dump trucks with plow equipment and spreaders from Lakeside International in the amount of $150,678.00.
Background: The Street Department sent out bids to various truck dealers and received four (4) bids. Lakeside International was the lowest qualified bidder and is the recommended vendor.
These trucks will replace a 1985 IHC 5 ton dump truck which will go to the auction and a 1984 IHC 5 ton dump truck with was converted into a wrecker.

Fiscal Impact: Funds in the amount of $170,000.00 were approved in the Capital Account for the year 2003. Proceeds from auction equipment will be deposited as revenue into the General Fund.
