Recommendation

Discussion item and potential action relating to the hiring of an interim City Administrator.

 

Background:

At the Council meeting of 11/18/03, some Aldermen suggested that the Council consider the possibility of hiring an interim City Administrator while the recruitment and interview process goes on.

Some information was available on the website of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and is attached to this report.

Included is a reprint of their recruitment guidelines for selecting a local government administrator and an explanation of their Range Rider Program.

 

Fiscal Impact

Costs for an interim administrator are unknown at this time.
